Progress - circles and gelatin

Just a few images of the progress I've made recently.
The shoe-box is just about done.  It's been a lot of work!

And I've had a few more sessions messing about with gelatin printing - some days more successfully than others. These are some beginnings, works in progress, experiments and a couple just about done...the print, anyway.  They might be book pages.

As you can see, some more successful than others.  But there are possibilities!

  1. I am not familiar with the gelatin process but your results are wonderful.. free and colorful... and looks like fun too.

  2. Thank you, Donna! It is fun indeed...and quite simple. You make a slab of gelatin to use as a monoprinting plate really, using various objects or cut paper shapes as stencils, masks and for textures. Because the gelatin is slighty spongy, you lay the paper on and burnish by hand. There are various videos and instructions online.
By the way, I am totally in awe of your work. It's very beautiful!
